Great little stands August 14, 2010 Kimberly Banner These are great little stands and are much sturdier than I imagined they would be. I have rather large speakers sitting on them and have no fear of them tipping over. They also look nice!
Wood Technology Speaker Stands August 1, 2010 DavidCA These stands are easy to assemble and the finish makes them look more expensive than they are. I looked at other types of stands, but these stands were the best buy for my budget.
Poor quality control September 12, 2009 P. Stevenson (Ocoee, FL USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One included screw was a different size and it split one of the MDF uprights down about 3 inches. Wood Technology told me I must have overtightened it, that they only use one size of screw. So it was MY mistake and not their screw supplier making a mistake. I used a manual screwdriver and definitely did not overdue it. MDF is unforgiving in cross section and I was careful about using any force. I had checked all the pieces and tossed the box before assembly so returning it became an issue. I ended up having to cut down all four uprights to be able to use them at all. I need stands for two other pairs and will be buying a different brand.
Great! June 10, 2009 G. Strom (a bit south of Chicago) These were real easy to assemble. Did NOT crack (do not overtighten!). Look great and really do help speaker sound. Made in USA too!
Well worth the money October 15, 2008 James A. Caldwell 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Not sure what "satin" means, but I believe these are superior veneers than the cheesy, shiny black veneers on most cheap furniture and speaker stands these days. Well worth the $33 (including shipping!) I paid to Amazon. Got them in about 2 days as well! Use Amazon if you have the option.
These things retail for about $60, and Sanus' do as well. I don't understand all the criticism for such an inexpensive item. They are made as well as Sanus, and look better, I think. Nothing, especially black like these, are solid wood any more. It's all veneers and pressed board these days. People just do not have perspective nor know what they're talking about.
If you can get these for around what I paid, they're a great bargain!
