Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The proper positioning of home theater satellite speakers is not as obvious as it seems. While many people enjoy sound reproduced from speakers at ear level, the correct positioning, according to Dolby Laboratories, is actually several feet above ear level. Enter Hover Foundations. These heavy duty cast iron and steel speaker stands are the first ever that meet the placement guidelines of Dolby Laboratories. And they do so with rugged construction designed to hold speakers up to 10 lbs., and include features like adjustable height and a concealed wire management path. Get ready to hear what Dolby Digital sound really sounds like.

5 out of 5 stars Outstanding product with great features!   February 19, 2010

These stands are well made and exceeded my expectations, given the quality of many of today's products. Many great features that make it the best value for your situation: 1) The max height of these stands versus most of the others out there. These are almost 5 feet tall, which gets you over most obstacles in your TV room, including the TV/stand itself. 2) The 6 different speaker mounts that are included, which covers about any speaker type and mounting option. 3) Concealed wire path. and 4) Vertical and angled post options. If you buy these stands and are disappointed, then you are too difficult to please.

5 out of 5 stars quality stand for the money   February 18, 2010
Jason D. Chrobak (Atlanta)
For years I've been frustraded trying to find a stands for my klipsch speakers. After speaking with Sanus customer service I ordered this stand and love the quality and construction of this product. The stands are fairly heavy and I feel confident my speakers are safe and secure. The only minor problem in assembly was routing the speaker wire. It was not difficult just a little time consuming. The kit came with alot of different mounting brackets and I appreciate the two post options.

5 out of 5 stars Solid Stand   February 12, 2010

Stands provide a lot of options for speakers. Have tried them with three different speakers so far and have been able to adapt the stands. Currently using them with the angled poles to support Energy RC-Mini's for rear surrounds. Had to buy nuts n bolts to make it work for a cheap fix...

4 out of 5 stars Almost Worked   February 10, 2010
Shawn P. Garbett (Nashville, TN United States)
Solid construction with a heavy base. Came with an option for the extension pole, straight or bent. For mounting the speakers it came with about 6 different solid metal brackets, to match most speakers. I bought the Klipsch S-1 Synergy Surround Speaker to go with these, and with all these options, not a single one fit. So I'm going to probably have to drill a set out of the existing brackets. Not something I look forward too.

However, that aside, the mounts are quite solid.

5 out of 5 stars Solid surrounds stand   February 7, 2010

Bought these to answer a positioning problem for my surround speakers. They answered the problem! Solid, adaptable, and adjust with more height than most. Well packaged with LOTS of parts so you can adapt to your room and speakers' demands. The top plates didn't quite fit my KEF speakers, but some creative adaptation with small bolts and nuts and they are securely positioned atop the slanted top bar. Slight angling of surrounds makes a big difference. Also these will support heavier speakers than many similar speaker stands. Assembly of the stands was easy once I "decoded" their "visuals only" instruction manual! (Little text)
