Allen screws needed... June 14, 2010 elkay (Selma, OR USA) Product built well, with nice heavy bases. I'm using them to hold up a pair of Paradigm Atoms, not the lightest of bookshelf type boxes. My only suggestion would be to replace the 'pan-head' set screws with allen head type set screws, which would hide them from sight and leave less of a "clunky" appearance.
outstanding value September 18, 2009 N. Shaw (Memphis) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Bottom line: these just plain rock. Very, very sturdy. The adjustable brackets worked great with the base of Klipsch Quintet speakers. They are so easy to put together there were no instructions. Highly recommended for heavy, odd-shaped speakers, or any satellite.
Perfect for bookshelf speakers June 25, 2008 David Long (NJ) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
While there are lots of stands out there for the little satellite speakers, I found it difficult to find affordable ones for bookshelf speakers. I got the SVS surround sound speaker system which has large front and rear speakers - 11 lbs, 12" x 7" x 9.5" each. These stands hold them perfectly and the adjustable width makes them a great fit for lots of medium-large surround speakers. The adjustable height is great so you can put your speakers at the right ear level for surround sound. Despite being so adjustable, they are still very sturdy and hold the weight of the speakers well. And they were easy to put together in just a few minutes.
Plesantly Surprised May 30, 2008 "JVC" (Roanoke, Va USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Ive been looking for an adjustable height stand that could also hold the 8lb Yamaha odd shaped speakers that I'm using for side surround and these fit the bill perfectly. They are quite heavy and I like the "rough" dark black texture along with the ease of assembly and ammenities such as being able to run the wires up thru the pole and the included velcro for additional stability in holding the speakers in place. I'm setting these on wood floors so carpet spikes were not a necessity. Rubber stick-on pads for the base are also included as well as the allen wrench for tightening the set screws for the speaker bracket. Overall I'd say that for an average price of 25.00 ea(includes the shipping cost) these are the best bang for your hard earned buck that you'll probably find-and I searched a lot.
great May 18, 2008 parkdoob (San Jose, CA USA) Sturdy, inexpensive, adaptable (both height of stand and width of bracket), and attractive (textured black "iron" finish on all but the black plastic tightener and small bracket caps). What's not to like?
