these stands are small enought but stong enought to support my surround sound system. good product

3 out of 5 stars Cheap - not a bad price, but poor quality and for SMALL speakers   July 15, 2010

Not a bad product for $25, but they are very top heavy with some of the larger Home-theater-in-a-box systems like my Onkyo HT-5100 rear speakers. Very easy to tip over due to the top-heaviness, and the poll arm comes loose very easily. Tightening it requires bending down to tighten where it screws into the foot which is awkward and annoying. Also, the L-bracket at the top of the poll where the box speaker is hung from comes loose quite easily and allows the speaker to flop to either side since the poll is slightly angled.

These issues may be less of a problem if you have very small, very light speakers, but otherwise avoid.

This item is aesthetically appealing but is very cheaply made and does not stay together once assembled. The connector piece that joins the upper metal rods is made of plastic and does not hold the speaker in place. The rubber that is supposed to keep the upper rod in place doesn't. I do not recommend these stands. Unfortunate, as they would be very nice to look at...the bases are beautiful and made of glass.

2 out of 5 stars be aware!   June 2, 2008

I was not totally satisfied with this product. I have assembled 100's it items at home before but still the assembly of this one was quite confusing. The major source of disappointment was the way the stand looks once assemebled. Once completely assmembled, the glass base of the stand doesn't sit parallel to the floor, rather it slopes towards the front, making the entire stand look quite awkward. None of the pictures on the box or in the assemebly instructions clearly show this. So I had to struggle with it for while, trying to figure out what I was doing "wrong". (why it won't sit flat with the floor). Finally called the customer support only to be told that the "slopped base" was by design. So be aware of this

5 out of 5 stars excellent stand, lousy instructions!   October 31, 2007

Very sturdy and beautiful stands- several different ways to mount speakers, both bottom and back mounts. However, the assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. Read the written instructions and look at the diagram in the back and you'll be able to figure out where most of the parts go. Going on just the written instructions will leave important parts out :)
